So does anybody else ever think about how Loop felt the need to demonstrate that the party's deaths wouldn't have any effect on the loops. I know I do but that's besides the point. Anyway I don't think Loop actually needs to bathe, they just like to feel included.

#kirby#daily kirby#my art#digital#hal laboratory#nintendo#waddle dee#(sort of)#one of my christmas presents was my wife's old desktop computer that she'd beefed up for video games#a while ago granted but still#so I did some more work on getting it set up today and then spent 5 hours playing house flipper :)#big kid computer means I can actually play pc games again#beyond full perfecting cook serve delicious on low graphics lol#also I knew my brother had given me a yakuza game a while ago that I hadn't opened because I was still on my laptop#but it turns out he gave me two yakuza games#so once I get the controller set up I can play yakuza 2 also!#I really enjoyed yakuza 1 except for a couple bs sections in the story and the very very last side mission.#(having a more powerful computer also means once I get the peripherals squared away I can start video captioning)#(and maybe hopefully stream occasionally)#(I really wanna stream my partner playing ace attorney because I want to have his reactions on record for myself lol)#(he loves puzzles and he grew up in the moon logic video game days and he has some background in criminology)#(so either he'll get super into it or he'll absolutely hate it I think lol)#(I've done a very good job of not spoiling anything)#(I know the court segments well but I might keep a guide on the side for the investigation segments)#(I never had that much trouble with them tho cuz I tend to be thorough and methodical)

Yeah! I haven't read any fics focusing on them but I have seen that they exist! And also there's like a five sentence interaction in a fic I read ages ago that lives rent free in my brain. I think about it all the time when I draw Sixty.

After spending hours niching it, as well as getting a full roster 620, I have so much to say about this CC. There's a lot that can be said about stat bloat or the invis drones or whatever, and yeah, those are bad. But I think the real problem is this: with the old CC, you could adjust the risks in such a way to suit your roster. It'd be hard no matter what you took, but you could look at who you had and find the limits of what they could do. It was so cool to see what other people put together because it was always so different from what you did. But with CCB, it's the other way around: you have to tailor your squad to the event. There are just so few options with the tags, and so many of the points are locked behind set bonuses or completely unrelated tags that you kind of have to take all the modifiers if you want 620 or above. The only choice is really whether you take more attack or more HP. And I think that's why so many clears seem to look alike, with Ines, Virtuosa, Ceobe, Dorothy, etc. Honestly, it wasn't until I stopped caring about 620 that I started to enjoy myself. Once I stopped needing to take all the risks and focused instead on putting together something fun/interesting and pushing the limits of what my niche could do, it totally opened up. And I think that's really telling! They could just add more options for the risks, or adjust the point threshold for the medal, and the event would be way more fun (and would still be a substantial challenge). And I know that's easier said than done; game balance is difficult and managing it in such a way that the challenge medal remains challenging isn't easy. But I really hope they move more towards that in the future.
